Privacy Policy
This policy covers the iPet Android app and the iPet client service at client.ipet.al. iPet is published by Ardit Gega. For privacy questions, contact support@ipet.al.
Information used by iPet
- Accounts: your name, email address, account identifier and sign-in information. Passwords are stored as salted hashes. Optional Google or Apple sign-in supplies identity information needed to authenticate and link your account; iPet does not receive your provider password.
- Profiles and care: contact details and profile information you provide, pet information, clinic connections, visit requests, bookings and notes, shared care records, uploaded images and documents, and bill/payment-status information used by the service. Professional accounts may provide business and verification details.
- Technical information: session cookies, language preferences, and network/security information such as IP addresses, request times and server logs needed to operate and protect the service.
- Files you choose: Android uses the system picker for uploads and saving documents. It does not request broad access to your storage, contacts, microphone or location.
How information is used
We use information to authenticate accounts, maintain profiles and pet records, connect authorised clinic households, show records explicitly shared with clients, handle routine visit requests and bookings, display bills, respond to support requests, and protect the service. The Android app displays the live client website, so information entered there is sent to the same iPet service.
The Android wrapper contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDK. It does not add push notifications or an offline clinical-record database. Records and permissions are controlled by the server.
Sharing and service providers
Your clinic controls its clinical records and decides which records and documents to share with connected clients. Information needed to handle a booking or service request is available to the relevant clinic or provider. Other accounts are restricted by the service’s access controls. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.
Hosting and network providers process information needed to run and secure iPet. Cloudflare provides network protection and routes messages sent to our support address to the operator’s Gmail inbox, where Google processes that correspondence. Google and Apple process provider sign-in under their own privacy policies when you choose those options. External websites or apps opened from iPet are governed by their own policies.
Security and local storage
Network connections use HTTPS. Account records require authentication and applicable account/clinic permissions. Android keeps session cookies and preferences in its app storage; system backups are disabled for the wrapper. Signing out revokes the active account session. Files you deliberately save remain in your chosen destination, which you control. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Retention and account deletion
Account information is kept while needed to provide the service. You can request deletion of your iPet account and associated personal data at any time using our account-deletion page or the Android app’s Delete account menu item. We verify that the request belongs to the account holder, remove the account and associated data that can be deleted, and revoke its access and sessions.
Clinic-held care records, invoices and information required for legitimate legal, accounting, security or fraud-prevention purposes may need to be retained. Where that applies, we explain the information retained and the reason when processing your request. Clinics are responsible for their own clinical retention obligations. Existing backups may retain earlier information until replaced or expired; restored data must be subject to the same deletion request. Uninstalling the app alone does not delete your server account.
Your choices and support
You can update available profile information, sign out, stop using optional sign-in providers, choose which files to upload/save, and ask for access, correction or deletion of your personal information. Email support@ipet.al from the address associated with your account. Do not send passwords, sign-in codes or unnecessary clinical documents.
iPet is designed for pet owners and veterinary/service professionals. It is not directed at children. The app concerns animal care and is not a human medical-advice or emergency service.
